David completed his Masters in Acupuncture at Tai Sophia Institute in Maryland. The program included a three year course of study, along with an extensive clinical training. David completed nearly 200 treatments while in school, along with 60 hours of treating in a drug rehab clinic in Baltimore.   David is now an assistant faculty member at Tai Sophia, supervisor in the student clinic, and practitioner in the faculty clinic.  In addition, he operates a practice in Towson to address the needs of clients in the Baltimore–Washington metropolitan area.

Prior to his acupuncture studies, David studied environmental politics at the University of Maryland.  Seeking work that combined his love of the earth and a desire to serve the community, he worked for close to two years at a wilderness camp for incarcerated youth in the mountains of Georgia.  He then hiked the entire 2168 mile Appalachian Trail from Georgia to Maine in 2001.  Building on this diverse set of experiences, it was a natural progression for him to serve the communities’ health needs in the treatment room.  These experiences have enabled David to bring patience and wisdom to the treatment room.
